The simulator is an imitation of a cat’s body mounted on a stand. Four special rods are installed on the stand, designed to fix cat’s body imitation limbs.
The cat’s body has a coating simulating the animal’s fur, the front paws are equipped with tubes simulating veins, to enable catheter insertion skills practicing. The paws of cat’s body imitation bend under mechanical action and have a feature to take a fixed position in the absence of such action.
The simulator is designed to practice the following skills:
- dissection of “animal body” tissues;
- application of surgical sutures;
- performing surgical operations taking into account the topography of animal internal organs.
