The simulator is a model of a 28-week premature newborn.
The simulator is designed to practice intubation, ventilation with bag-valve-mask, basic cardiopulmonary resuscitation, intraosseous access and intravenous procedures.
Functional features:
- Measuring the ventilation and chest compression effectiveness.
- Realistic airway with tongue, vocal cords, trachea, esophagus, easy to practice airway techniques.
- Nasal intubation.
- Oral intubation.
- Liquid aspiration.
- Performing ventilation exercises using a ventilator bag.
- Simulation of cardiopulmonary resuscitation using two techniques: circular movements with two thumbs, alternative compression with fingers.
- Bilateral lung expansion with realistic chest excursion.
- Observation of peripheral and central cyanosis as well as healthy skin tone.
- Observation of changes in skin color in response to trainee performance.
- Change in color of the skin depending on the pre-selected condition.
- The umbilical pulse appears by squeezing the bulb.
- Practice of umbilical cord placement.
- Injection arm.
- Leg for intraosseous injections.
A tablet PC with software allows to:
- Perform quality control of procedures.
- Conduct CPR training sessions.
- Monitors the quality of compressions and ventilation performed: depth of compression, volume of ventilation and volume of inhaled air.
- Training mode with an included sound prompt for performed procedures.
- Specify acceptable range values from the correct execution of procedures for users.
- The software algorithm displays a time-bound graph of compressions and ventilations when performing exercises.
- The software algorithm dynamically and clearly shows the correspondence of the performed procedure parameters to the previously specified range values.
- The software algorithm displays the period of not performed artificial respiration on the simulator.
- The software algorithm allows to set user names of simulator trainees, specifying performed task: chest compressions, artificial respiration.
- The software algorithm displays the time that passed since lesson beginning and number of performed compressions and breaths.
- User actions can be marked by the instructor at any time, time-bound and associated to the trainee’s name, with subsequent recording in the lesson log.
- The software algorithm independently calculates the effectiveness of performed procedures based on the specified acceptable values of procedure parameters.
- The software algorithm allows to save an unlimited number of recorded lesson results and event logs for demonstration to trainees on the monitor and their printing.
