The simulator is a model of an infant, it allows to practice the technique of removing a foreign body from the upper respiratory tract.
The robot simulator has a light indication that displays:
- battery level;
- pulse on the brachial artery;
- cyanosis of the nasolabial triangle;
- correctness of foreign body removal.
When the simulator is turned on, cyanosis of the nasolabial triangle occurs, the infant emits characteristic wheezing. If the foreign body is not removed from the upper respiratory tract within a certain time, the pulse in the brachial artery disappears, and cyanosis of the nasolabial triangle appears.
If the maneuver is performed correctly, the foreign body falls out of the oral cavity, the corresponding indication displays this process, the pulse in the carotid artery remains, and the infant simulator begins to “cry”.
